New Years

I have never been a fan of the holiday. We all stopped trying to force an event on this day of the year long ago. Although, I have to say - high fiving Christian last year @ midnite - finishing off our pints - and walking out of the Portly - is surely one of my favorite NYE memories.

Question: Who is the band August Burns Red?

Answer: Apparently some hardcore band - who my best friend in PA happened to befriended the lead singer. And these little music making kiddies are my NYE party throwers. I dont know too much, but that much I do know.

I love visiting Matt in Lancaster. It’s a drastic change in pace and mindset. I head over there when the reset button is in need of a good press; when life is a little messy and I dont have the energy to break out the paper towels just yet- Just like I would if he still lived on the same island as me. He understands, doesn’t ask questions, just lets me roll in like a hurricane only to leave like a soft breeze on a summers day. (<—Oof, pretty gay eh?) His first words are usually “Let me know when you wanna talk” - and then takes stellar care of me for the rest of my visit.

My friends hold such unique qualities that i know who to inconvieniece for each situation. Matt is interchangable for sure. He can party like champ or talk up a storm debating our lives purpose till the wee hours of the night.

Life has been continuously messy as of late, so i am looking forward to being somewhere different - away from hospitals, doctors, bills and people I dont have the patience for.
